Mosaic Dogs | Portrait of Jess Cohen

Jess Cohen

Dog Trainer, Owner, and Rally Enthusiast

she/her

With over 15 years of experience, Jess is dedicated to helping dogs and their owners build strong, trusting relationships through science-based, force-free training methods. Inspired by a personal journey with a “tough” dog, she focuses on positive reinforcement and encouraging choice, allowing dogs to learn in the kindest and most effective way.

Jess teaches puppy classes, adult manners training, rally obedience, and trick training, always meeting each dog-owner team where they are and working together to bring out the best in both. Jess competes in CKC, CARO, UKC, and SDDA. Jess is proud to be a member of the Canadian Association of Professional Dog Trainers and  is a Canadian Association of Rally Obedience (CARO) Judge. She will begin working toward her KPA-CTP certification in 2026.

At home, she shares her life with her husband, her son, and four beloved dogs—two Australian Shepherds, a Chihuahua, and an English Springer Spaniel—each bringing their own unique charm and talents to the family. Whether training for scent detection, rally obedience, or simply enjoying a long nap, her dogs are a constant source of joy and inspiration.

Servicing Edmonton, Sherwood Park, Leduc County, Beaumont, Nisku, Leduc, and Devon.

We acknowledge that we operate on the traditional lands of many First Nations including Nehiyaw (Cree), Denesuliné (Dene), Nakota Sioux (Stoney), Anishinaabe (Saulteaux) and Niitsitapi (Blackfoot). We honour the Indigenous peoples who have stewarded this land for generations, respecting their deep connection to its animals, ecosystems, and communities.

We commit to learning, listening, and supporting Indigenous voices in our work, and we recognize that reconciliation is an ongoing effort.

To learn more about the history and cultures of the Indigenous peoples of this land, we encourage our community to engage with local Indigenous organizations and resources.
